London, Paris, New York — the three that always seem to top the list of iconic world cities. I visited the first two many years ago but had never made it to the one in my own country until this past August, when we went for our family summer vacation.
August?! Don’t I know that it is October now? This is pretty old news at this point, isn’t it? Yeah, sorry, but these hand-crafted videos take some time and inspiration, and though I feel like I could have made it better (and probably shorter) with a bit more effort, but I am shooting for some level of currency vs. history, so here it is.
As you’ll see, we did a lot of stuff. What were my favorites? I enjoyed it all, but biking in Central Park was a lot of fun, The Play that Goes Wrong was hilarious (even seeing it the for the second time), and being at the spot where most of the Book of Mormon was translated was pretty cool.
A fun after-effect was reading a book that turned out to take place largely in New York City and being able to say, “Oh, I know where that street is.” Or “I know that neighborhood. I’ve been there.”
Special thanks to Kayla for her activity plan — much of which we followed.
Yep, your notifier must not have been working for quite awhile because I hadn’t seen this either! Another great trip.
